It covers the historical use of essential oils, where they appear in the Bible, the chemical make-up of essential oils, essential oil safety, measurements, substitutions, how essential oils work in the olfactory and limbic systems, carrier oils, the most commonly used essential oils, how to blend essential oils and a reading list for further study. It is written in an informal and easily understood format with explanations of all terms used. It’s the ideal book for anyone who wants to begin using essential oils.
About the author…..Vicki Wadsworth holds diplomas in Cosmetology, Reflexology, Wholistic Therapy and Aromatherapy and is the owner of Avanti Wholistic Day Spa in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Her fascination with essential oils began when she was training in Raindrops Therapy. A broken back was still causing severe spasms after seven and a half years. With one treatment the pain disappeared. Realizing that aromatherapy could hold the key to helping her clientele with many of their problems, whether physical or emotional, Vicki began her studies in earnest and continues to do so even today. She says, “What I wanted was to have all the information a novice needed in one book and make it fun, easy and understandable.” This is that book.
